While I am not a MAC fanatic I know a good product when I see one, and new MAC So Select [$17 for 0.1 oz, available here] lipstick was grab-worthy indeed. Housed in the brand's classic black bullet, this dusty rose matte feels like creamy heaven on the lips. MAC mattes are actually some of the most comfortable I've tried so far; they're like a pair of chic jeggings that look trendy but feel like PJs. Or like a pair of killer heels that feel like flats, if you like that comparison better.
So Select is a dirty rose shade that is available to you once you sign in to MAC's new rewards type program (MAC Select I think it i called) on their website (as of me doing this review).
- MAC Select Exclusive Lipstick in So Select Matte Swatches and Review. You might have seen that MAC Cosmetics has now introduced a rewards/loyalty program, but with that program are some perks, such as EXCLUSIVE lipsticks! So Select is the first exclusive lipstick, and it's.

'A lip color inspired by the best runway trends of the season, this new M∙A∙C Lipstick was our Artists' favorite backstage secret weapon for en vogue matte rose lips.'
As the description suggests, MAC So Select lipstick was inspired by runway trends, and I can definitely see that. Kylie Jenner popularized dusty mauves and matte finish, so now you can find a lipstick in similar color in every It Girl's makeup bag.
MAC So Select lipstick is a Limited Edition release and available for MAC Select members only [you can read more about it here]. MAC Select is a new program for MAC shoppers that provides additional benefits, just like any other reward program. In a nutshell, the more you shop – the better your perks. My favorite benefit is probably the expanded Back to MAC, so I have more options for empty containers to return. It does take me a while to empty them, but I usually end up using up enough products to get a free lipstick every year or so.
Despite being labeled as a matte, MAC So Select has a bit of a satiny sheen to it, which I don't mind at all. It is less drying than most other matte lipsticks out there, and the pigmentation is straight up amazing. This is easily one of my favorite MAC lipsticks to date, and I've been disappointed with their recent releases more often than not.
I find So Select surprisingly easy to wear! I actually thought it would be one of those high fashion mattes that look great on runway models, popular Instagram gurus, and fashion bloggers, while the rest of us basic mortals will just swatch it and forget it. Since I am not going anywhere tonight I'm just rocking it at home, but it kind of makes me look put together. Maybe a quick run for groceries later? 😉

Reason 1: Mac hard drive is nearly full

Like every Mac user, you might have stored many huge video files, thousands of photos and music tracks on your Mac computer. The popularity of using solid-state drives (SSDs) of Mac computers means considerably less capacity than traditional hard drives. Even an iPhoto library can quickly fill up a MacBook Air's 64GB or 128GB SSD, and nothing slows a Mac than having too much on a hard drive.
Solutions:
Firstly, find the large media files on your Mac, delete the unused videos, apps, photos, etc. Or you can move all of them to an external hard drive, and remove them from your Mac.
Secondly, remember empty your trash cans, say the user account's main trash can and the iPhoto/iMovie/Mail trash can.

Reason 2: Don't have enough RAM
A question from a Mac user: 'I have a 27' iMac (Late 2012, OS X 10.9.2) with 8GB RAM. The usage of memory is always above 7GB, even though I don't think I am running that much stuff. This leads to the occasional hanging of a program and occasional feeling of the computer being lagged.'
Yes, most Macs ship with between 4GB and 16GB of RAM. If your Mac has only 4GB or 8GB RAM, the system might be running low when launching programs or loading documents.
You can check your RAM by using the Activity Monitor application (under Utilities in the Application folder). Click on System Memory tab and have a look at the pie chart at the bottom. If the chart is largely red or orange which means you are running out of RAM.
